A Galería de Balmaceda Arte Joven nasceu em 1998 e desde então tem conseguido se firmar como um lugar de destaque no cenário da criação artística chilena e latino-americana.
Pertence ao centro cultural Balmaceda Arte Joven e destina-se a artistas emergentes e figuras consagradas da região, que contribuem para o desenvolvimento das artes visuais. É um grande espaço de quase cinquenta metros quadrados e pé direito alto, que exibe de quatro a cinco exposições entre julho e novembro de cada ano. Os critérios de seleção das obras - de qualquer estilo ou técnica - são profissionalismo, originalidade e consistência conceitual.
