Existe allí un único y primer monumento dedicado al Pescador que existe en el país. Creación del Artista Ricardo Santander Balos. Inaugurado el 16 de Abril de 1983, se alza a un costado del recinto, integrándose al grupo de botes y Bongos Pesqueros, que se estacionan en la playa del sector.
Valparaíso está ubicado a 112 km. de Santiago de Chile.
Existen diversas alternativas para llegar a Valparaíso:
En Bus
El viaje demora 1 hora con 45 minutos desde Santiago. Existiendo salidas con una frecuencia de 15 minutos, las empresas de buses ofrecen un buen nivel de servicio y confort.
En Automóvil
Para los que desean llegar en automóvil desde Santiago, deben tomar la Ruta 68, siendo el tiempo de viaje estimado 1 hora y 30 minutos.
Lugar donde se pueden apreciar las faenas artesanales, típicas embarcaciones y elementos de los pescadores.
Además, posee establecimientos gastronómicos donde se puede degustar platos marinos con productos recién extraídos del mar.
