Housed in a former Korean president’s historic villa, Chiwoonjung offers traditional accommodation featuring time-hounoured atmosphere and modern facilities such as WiFi and air conditioning. The property is located between the royal Gyeongbok and Changdeok palaces.
Each room at Chiwoonjung features Ondol, Korean heated floor, and traditional futon bedding. A flat-screen cable TV, a refrigerator and a tea set are available inside classical furniture to preserve the ancestral feeling of the room. The western private bathroom features a bath made of retinispora wood and an electronic bidet.
A Jjimjilbang, traditional Korean sauna, is available for guests’ use from 19:00 to 23:00 at Chiwoonjung. Various services such as cooking classes and massages are also available upon request.
Insadong Culture Street is just a 15-minute walk from the property. Incheon International Airport can be reached within 70 minutes by car.
