The Fleur Du Jardin takes its names from a breed of Guernsey cows. Buses stop regularly outside the hotel, or you can hire a bicycle to explore the island.
The restaurant features as much local produce as possible including beef and pork from Meadow Croft Farm, and local seafood. There is a frequently changing selection of Real Ales. For those who enjoy long country walks, the area around Kings Mills is a mass of quiet country lanes heading in all directions.
Only a little further afield you'll find some of the island's best beaches, while other adventures include invigorating walks along Guernsey's stunning south coast cliffs and trips to the other islands by sea or air.
On those days when the island's proximity to the English Channel becomes apparent, there's still plenty to see and do round about.
