Fortress defense of the coast, built around 1643, this monument of baroque military architecture, is integrated in the fortification works of the entrance of the Tagus bar.
It has a prominent, isolated framework, implanted on the coast, on a rocky tip that forms the eastern end of Cresmina beach.
