Playa del Carmen
Playa del Carmen, formerly a "little pueblo", is currently one of the most fascinating places in the Mexican Caribbean. It is located in the heart of the Riviera Maya and brings together the best restaurants, shops and nightclubs. The airport is 45 minutes away by road, and the paradisiacal island of Cozumel, 40 minutes by ferry boat. Its beaches are visited by tourists of all nationalities. If you prefer something more exclusive, at the private beach clubs you can enjoy spa treatments, swimming pools and more. Come and walk down Fifth Avenue, a very nice pedestrian street where excellent restaurants, shops and boutiques are located. Do you have any good excuse not to try to fall in love with the Caribbean environment?
Worthy of countless photos, crystal clear waters, waves in perfect proportion between fun and enjoyable, fine sand and cool breeze to have a good tan without being scalded by the sun. Playa del Carmen and Playacar offer the advantage of direct access to the sea from the hotel, an indispensable requirement for some tourists. Especially for those who seek tranquility and rest. Families with children usually prefer hotels with All Inclusive service with the advantage of specialized staff and prepared for the fun of the children.
Playa del Carmen is an eclectic and bohemian city in the heart of the Riviera Maya ... A fascinating point that is worth discovering, visited by thousands on an annual basis! They have a wide and exquisite variety of culinary delights that surprise all palates!
Being a multi-cultural city, Playa del Carmen has enriched its culinary selection over the years under the influence of many talented chefs, countries and cultures! You can indulge your senses with a wide variety of dishes, ranging from Chinese, Japanese, Italian, French, Indian, South American, Spanish, Thai and of course Mexico (among many more!), Creating the best culinary experience ever!
Among the traditional dishes are cooked, relleno blanco, black pepper, chocholomo and cochinita pibil (pork bathed in orange juice served with beans and red onion).
There are also fish and seafood seasoned with peppers and spices; snapper, lobster and snails are among some of the dishes you can enjoy. As for international cuisine, you will find everything from Italian pasta and Argentine steaks to French desserts.
Playa del Carmen is in an area where the subtropical climate predominates, which means to find high temperatures throughout the year and plenty of humidity. In summer (from June to September), the average is 27ºC, but reaches 30ºC with ease; in winter (from December to March), the average is 24ºC. Carrying light clothing and plenty of water is key to facing the heat that does in Playa, even in winter!
In any case, knowing that the temperature is pleasant is not enough to choose the date of your trip; after all, when it comes to the Caribbean, it is always important to think about the hurricane season. Officially, the season starts in June and ends at the end of November, but that does not mean that during this long period the city will suffer from them - quite the contrary, what has happened in recent years is that there are no hurricanes in this area.
September and October are not recommended months to travel because the rainfall in this period is higher, as well as the possibility of hurricanes occurring. Despite this, this is a time when you can get deals on both the airfare and the accommodations. Winter is high season: December, January and February are months in which Playa receives many tourists. Rainfall can occur throughout the year but, except in the rainy months, will rarely spoil the trip.
