Oceânico Laguna, een van de golfbanen van wereldklasse in Vilamoura, biedt een uitdaging voor alle soorten spelers. Ingevoegd op een laaggelegen kustland, brengen veel van zijn gaten een atmosfeer van een golfbaan met zich mee. Grote fairways hebben weinig bomen, dus sterke wind kan het spel af en toe destabiliseren. Hoewel de route niet bijzonder uitgebreid is, zijn er waterhindernissen, meren (die verschillende soorten watervogels aantrekken) en 79 bunkers strategisch gelegen in een redelijk vlak veld. Het onvergetelijke 5e gat, Par 4, vereist een nauwkeurige slag over het meer.
