Surrounded by palm trees and nature, Ras Mbisi Lodge is a secluded retreat, set on 8 km of beach on the west coast of Mafia Island. It offers a beachfront restaurant and an outdoor pool.

The open-tent bandas are located close to the ocean. Locally crafted, each has a balcony, a seating area and a private bathroom. The beds are draped with mosquito nets.

A buffet breakfast is served every morning. The restaurant serves local Swahili dishes with an International touch. There is also a rooftop bar.

Massages can be arranged for a surcharge. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including fishing and diving. Staff at Ras Mbisi Lodge can arrange excursions around the island.

Mafia Airport is a 40-minute flight away from Dar es Salaam.
