Lewis Carroll was a frequent visitor to the Ravensworth, reportedly writing part of his classic work Alice in Wonderland on one of his stays.
In the peaceful village of Lamesley, Newcastle’s centre is still less than 10 minutes’ drive away from the pub. Guests have views of the famous Angel of the North sculpture, and are within 20 minutes’ drive of a range of golf courses.

In keeping with the traditional atmosphere of the building, we have quality meeting facilities for up to 60 people. Wedding ceremonies can also be held at the Ravensworth Arms as a civil wedding licence is held here.
