Rice Chicha

wash the rice and allow it to soak overnight in 2 cups of water. the next day drain it and cook it with the cinnamon stick in 7 cups of water for about 35 minutes, lower it from the heat and let it rest, then liquefy it with the sugar, milk, salt and essences. cool well. serve with crushed ice and sprinkle with cinnamon if you like.

Preparation

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 9 cups of water
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 1 cup of condensed milk
  • 1 cup of evaporated milk
  • 1/2 tsp of almond essence
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 cinnamon stick
