Preparation

Sift the salt, flour, and baking powder into a bowl. add the cornmeal and sugar. gradually add the beaten egg, vanilla and milk, then margarine. mix very well until smooth.
fry in a pan with hot oil, drain on absorbent paper before serving.

  • 1/2 cup of cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • salt to taste
  • 3 spoonfuls of sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • a few drops of vanilla
  • oil for frying
