The Parsonage Hotel & Spa is a Four Star Hotel set in 6 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland and offers free WiFi and free parking. York's city centre is only 15 minutes' drive away. Built in the early 1840s, the building maintains many of its original features.
There are two restaurants located in the grounds of The Parsonage: The Lascelles Restaurant serves AA Rosette award-winning dishes and The Fat Abbot offers classic pub-style food. Guests on dinner inclusive packages receive a GBP 30 allowance for dinner.
Guests over the age of 18 are welcome to make use of the adults only Cloisters Spa and Health Club, which includes a 16-metre swimming pool, spa bath, modern gymnasium, sauna, steam room, aromatherapy and salt rooms. Holistic treatments are also available.
You can also enjoy a round of golf at Swallow Hall Golf Club, a 9-minute drive from from The Parsonage Hotel & Spa Escrick is a pretty village set approximately 5 miles out of York city centre. The village offers a local pub, Thai restaurant and post office. The hotel is set back from the A19 which runs through the village next door to the village church. Views across farmland and fields are available from the lodge rooms upon request.
A regular bus runs into York to avoid parking problems. The Drawing Room at the Parsonage has a friendly and homely atmosphere and overlooks the gardens at the hotel leading into the conservatory, the ideal place to relax in the evenings. The Residents Bar is open to non-residents and serves all drinks and tea and coffee throughout the day.
Now completed is a 9-hole putting green complimentary to residents. To entertain the children, count the teddy bears on the teddy bear walk through the gardens.
