This charming, family-run bed and breakfast is situated in a quiet, pretty, little village in Lower Silesia, at the foot of the Kaczawskie Mountains.
The house itself was built in the early part of the 20th century and has belonged to the same family for 130 years. The house is full of family mementoes and period furniture. All of this contributes to the friendly, family atmosphere, full of charm and tradition.
The house’s idyllic setting in the well-preserved, tranquil, traditional village makes it ideal for a relaxing, restorative break, far from the cares, worries, stresses and strains of modern life. The area surrounding the hotel is ideal for cyclists and there are many picturesque bicycle routes running throughout the region, including the Myśliborski Gorge Route and the Dead Volcanoes Route. Bicycles are available for rent from the Villa Greta itself.
The area is also famous for its traditional pottery and tourists interested in the craft will find much to interest them.
The area is fascinating for geologists and is renowned for its gold and agate stones.
Lower Silesia has many impressive medieval castles and history lovers can enjoy walking tours which provide a fascinating insight into their past.
Villa Greta is also in a great location for winter sports lovers. Skiing enthusiasts can enjoy the region’s excellent skiing, with trips to Lysa Gora nearby and Karpacz and Szklarska Poręba slightly further away (50 km). These resorts are ideal for those who prefer to avoid the noisier and more crowded winter resorts. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, free of charge, and there is also a fireplace in the garden.
