It bathes the city of Rio Branco dividing it into two districts. A river of muddy and fishy waters, in the summer (July-September) is conducive to bathing and nautical sports and navigable to the borders of Brazil with Peru and Bolivia and with the State of Amazonas. In the summer period, several beaches are formed along its course, among which stand out: Amapá Beach, Riozinho do Rola Beach, among others. By its strategic position, it is a very useful river for the local communities, however, little explored by the local and outside visitors, due to the lack of infrastructure.
