The Aldabra high atoll, in the south of the Seychelles archipelago 1150 km southwest of Mahe in the western Indian Ocean, may be considered one of the few natural wonders of the world in good condition and was inscribed by UNESCO in 1982 in the list of sites that are World Heritage.
It is the largest atoll in the world, formed by four ring islands, 34 km long, a maximum width of 14.5 km, closing a lagoon with an area of 155 km², whose water is changed by the tides twice a day, providing a diversity of marine life.
