The climate is temperate and with hot summers, city founded in the year 1548, characterized by its mining landscapes. First baptized as Our Lady of Merced Mines Royal, over time it became the Royal Mines of Our Lady of Belem dos Asians. Today, the landscaped desert town is a picturesque magical city characterized by its underground tunnels or aqueducts; Prodigious hydraulic work of original 18th century engineering and defense of its inhabitants in the Cristero War.





One of its main attractions is the Pinacoteca of the Parish of Our Lady of Belém, where you can see the Circumcision Painting of the Child Jesus (unique in all of Latin America) and its various 17th century paintings, as well as some clothes that were used at that time by parents. In the Parish of Our Lady of Bethlehem, there is the Articulated Christ of over 400 years, made with human ribs, jaws and skulls, and with leather skin. The Guadalupe Sanctuary is an excellent manifestation of the quarry and blacksmithing artwork that was done in those years. The former convent of Senhor de Tepozan contains a valuable collection of altarpieces representing the Via Crucis, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. Not forgetting the oldest pantheon in the state, which is the cemetery of Guadalupe. Undoubtedly, the Royal of Asientos is a place with great architectural, civil and religious wealth.
