La Galleria Balmaceda Arte Joven è nata nel 1998 e da allora è riuscita ad affermarsi come un posto di rilievo nella scena della creazione artistica cilena e latinoamericana.
Appartiene al centro culturale Balmaceda Arte Joven e si rivolge ad artisti emergenti e figure affermate della regione, che contribuiscono allo sviluppo delle arti visive. È un grande spazio di quasi cinquanta metri quadrati e soffitti alti, che espone da quattro a cinque campioni tra luglio e novembre di ogni anno. I criteri di selezione delle opere - di qualsiasi stile o tecnica - sono professionalità, originalità e coerenza concettuale.
