Located in the northern part of Cerro Castillo, it was built by the Brunet family, mainly by Adolfo Brunet Brown and his brother José Rafael, who commissioned the project to the French architect Alfredo Azancot and in which Jorge Schroeder E. also participated. The latter was carrying out numerous works also located in the Cerro.
Edged natural granite stone was used in its construction, covered with reinforced concrete. Sillería was the name used in the past for this type of edged stone construction. The castle "approaches medieval architecture with a style reminiscent of France's Gothic romantic period." "The perspective that is dominated from its towers and avenues, which overlook the sea, is very beautiful." To carry out the work, a great deal of containment work was carried out on the hill, as the edge of the land cuts abruptly towards Avenida Marina, so the foundations are in the same rock.
The Brunet family failed to finish the building, they sold it to Juan Yarur, who did the finishing and added arabesque details to the composition. He belonged to the family until 1974, year in which he was transferred to the Carabineros de Chile, an institution to which he currently belongs.
Today it works as a hotel and event center.

By car:
One of the options to get to Viña del Mar is through Route 68, you enter Valparaíso and follow the correct signs to get to Viña. The Viña - Valparaíso Highway is 5.5 km long and begins in Caleta Abarca.
There is also a direct route to Viña del Mar from Route 68 towards Variante Agua Santa or Route 66, to travel a beautiful path with views of the Bay of Valparaíso and the beaches of Viña del Mar
The castle has a majesty that is imposed by the quality of its details, fine-made stained glass windows adorn the hall and the main staircase, gargoyles carved in oak wood, plaster details with Roman warriors and wrought iron designs, accompany a spatiality spacious and bright, in addition to the imposing views that all the main rooms and large terraces have. In the latter, especially the one located on the second floor, there is the tower that crowns the building, inside which is a mosque for the family, covered with colorful mosaics.
