After 50 years of service to bullfighting in Montijense and having had good and bad times, Amadeu Augusto dos Santos bullring continues to be, due to the quality of the "Festa" it promotes, a landmark of national and international bullfighting.
The first news to the bulls, in Aldeia Galega, dates from the sixteenth century. Since then, the bulls have been part of the social, political and economic life of the locality.
