Igrejinha da 307/308 Sul or Nossa Senhora de Fátima Church was the first masonry temple to be built in Brasilia, inaugurated on June 28, 1958.
After the cornerstone on October 26, 1957, the church was built in a hundred days, with the aim of paying a promise from First Lady Sarah Kubitschek, made to heal her daughter.
The chapel was designed by Oscar Niemeyer and its architecture makes reference to a nuns' hat. Inside and on the facade are tiles by Athos Bulcão. The frescoes with pennants and angels by Alfredo Volpi, were covered with paint in a renovation that took place in the 1960s.
