The present aspect of the Church, results from the arrangements made between 1835 and 1850. In 1910 it is closed to the cult, reopening later in the year 1929. In the main facade, a Renaissance Portal - XV / XVI, which presents in the lintel the insignia of the Order of Santiago.
From the Baroque period, the tiles, highlighting the panels of tiles historicized from the Main Chapel.
The painting of the Neoclassical vault is the French painter - Master Pierre Bordes, currently decharacterized after works carried out in 2001.
In Largo Fronteira stands the Statue of Homage to Father Abílio Mendes, his parish priest between 1932 and 1953.
Santa Cruz Square - Barreiro
