It is a late 18th century building, attributed to the architect Joaquim Fortunato of Novais. Of civil architecture, where the Neo-classical lines of the facade are allied to the dimension and functions for which it was built, that is, it served the administrative and attributive functions of the Municipalities of the old regime.
