This bridge, which is located in the town, was built in the year 1776, in the time of Viceroy Amat, being Corregidor de Andahuaylas the Great of the Royal Crown, Don Manuel Camargo, the lime and stone bridge with two arches over the Chumbao River, as well as the annual carnival fair. The corregidor Camargo, who in the span of 4 years gathered a great fortune, as an alternative to attract greater income, ordered the construction of the aforementioned bridge in order to facilitate access to the indigenous population, so that they attend an annual fair that It should have started on February 22nd and ended on Carnival Sunday. Event they attended carrying their products to trade (wool, leather, etc.), in exchange for merchandise that was exclusively offered by the magistrate
It is located in Andahuaylas on the Chumbao river. It connects the city with the Huancabamba airport and with the area of Pampachiri, Puquio, Nasca and Lima
It is a sample of colonial architecture and was built of ashlar. It consists of properly carved walkways.
