Sesimbra
Sesimbra is a Portuguese village belonging to the District of Setúbal, region of Estremadura and sub-region of the Península de Setúbal. It is soothes of the municipality with the same name with 195.01 km ² of area and subdivided in 3 parishes: Castle, Santiago and Quinta do Conde. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipalities of Almada and Seixal, to the northeast by Barreiro, to the east by Setúbal and to the south and to the west by the Atlantic Ocean. The mouth of the river Sado, the Serra da Arrábida, Cape Espichel and lagoon of Albufeira are part of the natural landscape of Sesimbra. The third parish of the municipality, designated by Quinta do Conde, also has the status of Vila (homonymous).
Tourism

Gastronomy
As expected, the gastronomy in Sesimbra has a strong relationship with the sea. Always fresh fish, shellfish or seafood are the highlight of Sesimbra gastronomy. Still other gastronomic delights of relief were developed. They are emphasized in the typical dishes with fish, the Caldeirada to the Sesimbra, Soup of Fish (usually realized with the sauce of the stew), Dry Fish cooked (mackerel, shoe, ray, etc.) and the fish or seafood of the coast simply cooked in water and salt or grilled in charcoal. In the sweetshop, we highlight the Alfarim and Zimbros.

The famous Mariscada de Sesimbra is among the last 70 finalists of the event 7 Wonders of Gastronomy. This specialty of Sesimbra was presented by the City Hall and was chosen among the 10 best dishes in the Seafood area, chosen by a jury of seventy people experts in the subject.
Weather
The municipality is limited to the north by the counties of Almada and Seixal, to the east by Setúbal and to the west and south by the Atlantic ocean.

It has a Mediterranean climate, with a dry period of about 80 to 100 days, during the summer, where the average temperature varies between 23 ° C and 29 ° C. In winter, temperatures are mild. Also noteworthy are microclimatic situations due to the influence of the Serra da Arrábida.
