Tourism
Imagine where the land meets the water, a peninsula that separates the blue from an ocean and the green of a river. White sand beaches and secret paths through wild sand dunes that lead to enchanted enclaves. Nature Reserve is filled by a variety of rare species. Where you can breathe the fragrance of pine trees or become familiar with the golf courses. A unique and untouched place that offers unforgettable experiences.
Comporta is a small village on the peninsula of Troia, 13 miles long on the coast of the Alentejo region. It lies at the heel of the peninsula, at the southern end of the Sado estuary, between the dense forest and the Atlantic. The villa is beautiful and has affordable places to stay. The Sado river delta is a unique ecosystem. Here, one of the very few populations of river dolphins can be found. But rare species of birds also use the delta to live.
The 12,500-hectare Comporta will be developed with five hotels, including a luxury Aman (the first in the chain in the Iberian Peninsula) and two golf courses - although it is considered low-density and architecturally sensitive. Comporta is the refuge of many famous personalities, attracted by the natural beauty and luxurious services of this Alentejo beach.
