Chile Chico, is a Chilean commune, located in General Carrera Province, Aisén Region.
It is located on the shores of the large Lake General Carrera near the border with Argentina, almost contiguous with the Argentine locality of Los Antiguos. In Chile Chico there is a microclimate. It is a mountainous area, its population, mostly rural, lives from livestock, agriculture, mining and tourism.

How to get
Access to the city can be done in many ways. By land, access is via Argentina through the Jenimeni Border Crossing, or through the national territory, using the Austral Road and then the CH-265 route. It can also be reached by the lake, boarding Puerto Ibáñez and sailing for two and a half hours by General Carrera. Or you can use the airway, traveling directly from Coyhaique or Balmaceda.
