Cúcuta local government headquarters. Its construction was ordered by Agreement of the Cabildo of June 11, 1941. Located in front of the Santander Park, in the area where the Public Prison was left in the Colony, in whose interior courtyard the Cucuteña martyr, Mercedes Reyes Ábrego was beheaded in front of her minor children .
The construction contract was made with the engineers José Francisco Faccini and Rafael Jaramillo Cabrales. It was given to the service at the end of 1947 but it was inaugurated in 1948 on July 20, the construction is of three floors with functional spaces, where the municipal government offices operate. In the part of the front or balusters it has about 10 stone carvings of "Terreros" in which motifs related to the history, industry, activities and virtues of the Cucuteño people stand out.
