Niché à Cerro Playa Ancha, ce musée semble parler de lui-même. Depuis 90 ans, cet espace a fait revivre de nombreux personnages que nous ne connaissions depuis longtemps que grâce aux livres d'histoire.
Ce lieu regorge de reliques et de témoignages datant de 1818 à 1880. Parmi ceux-ci, l'un des trésors les mieux conservés sont les écrits des héros de la Marine, voire les meubles que nos plus hauts postes ont utilisé pendant une longue période de notre histoire. Mais si vous doutez, l'une des plus grandes attractions est la flamme éternelle qui rappelle les morts lors du combat naval mémorable d'Iquique en 1879.

En bus
Le trajet dure 1 heure 45 minutes depuis Santiago. Départs existants avec une fréquence de 15 minutes, les compagnies de bus offrent un bon niveau de service et de confort.
En voiture
Pour ceux qui souhaitent arriver en voiture depuis Santiago, ils doivent emprunter la route 68, le temps de trajet estimé étant de 1 heure et 30 minutes.
Se promener dans les huit salles du musée, c'est comme reconstruire notre histoire. Avec des noms de personnalités nationales de premier plan telles que Diego Portales, Blanco Encalada ou des mémorandums de grandes prouesses comme la guerre du Pacifique, ces salles semblent nous dire comment cette branche des forces armées a été gagnante, s'il s'agit d'affrontements.
