Het Royal Customs Palace (Royal Customs Palace of Customs Palace), later bekend als het Old Courts Palace (of Old Courts Palace).
Deze plaats werd in 1555 toegekend aan de eerste gang van Santiago, Don Juan de Cuevas, die hier zijn huis installeerde. In 1635, op dezelfde plaats waar het paleis zich bevindt, werd de San Francisco Javier Convictorio Colegio (later Noble Convictor Carolino) van de Society of Jesus gebouwd.
In de 18e eeuw beval de Chileense gouverneur Luis Muñoz de Guzmán het koninklijk douanepaleis van Santiago op dezelfde plaats te plaatsen. De constructie werd toevertrouwd aan de militaire ingenieur José María de Atero, die het bouwde tussen 1805 en 1807.
Na de nationale onafhankelijkheid werd het pand bezet door de Chileense Nationale Bibliotheek en vanaf 1845 huisvestte het de Santiago-rechtbanken - het Hooggerechtshof bleef daar tot 1915 - tot 1968, het jaar dat een grote brand haar afhankelijkheden vernietigde. het ontleent de naam aan "Old Courts".
Het is gelegen op 361-385 Bandera Street in Santiago.
In 1969 werd het uitgeroepen tot "Historisch Monument van Chili".
In de jaren 1980 werd het gebouw herbouwd en gerestaureerd, bedoeld voor gebruik door het Chileense Museum voor Pre-Columbiaanse Kunst.
