It is raised in honor of the heroes of the War of the Pacific: Miguel Grau and Francisco Bolognesi.

It is located in the Plaza de Armas, it was inaugurated on August 28, 1959, being the President of the Republic Don Manuel Prado. It was designed by German technicians and donated to the country, because of the way it represents the trajectory of a bullet. It measures 18 meters and is made of quarry stone, pinkish color.
