The temple is of "Jesuit-Baroque" architecture. Sobriety symmetry distinguishes the façade, in whose north face, in the elevated part there is a niche with the image of Santa Teresa de Jesús. The monastery is built with lime and brick, while its main altar is in the Churrigueresque style, a beautiful sample of profuse carving and valuable gilding whose main image is the Virgen del Carmen. From this temple the “Cristo Rey” leaves in procession on Palm Sunday of Holy Week. Next to the temple is the Convent of Madres Carmelitas Descalzas, which among others produces the sweet mixture.
